Disaster Data Module 

 

 

 Introduces concepts of geospatial big data in disaster management. Students will learn how to access and process disaster data. 

Topics: 

1. Understand the 3V’ (Volume, Velocity and Variety) of disaster big data.

2. Understand FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) principles in disaster data management.

3. Learn disaster data types and processing techniques.

4. Understand spatiotemporal topological relationships. 

5. Learn spatiotemporal data modeling techniques. 

6. Learn visualization techniques for displaying spatiotemporal disaster data.
